Tulsa Police Car Runs Over Jaywalking Suspect During Arrest

In Tulsa, Oklahoma, dashcam and bodycam footage revealed that during the arrest of jaywalking suspect Kemonte Hampton, a Tulsa police officer forgot to put his patrol car in park, causing the vehicle to roll backward and run over Hampton. The incident occurred in a QuikTrip parking lot after Hampton fled from police following a jaywalking stop amid increased crime in the area. Officers pulled Hampton from under the vehicle and handcuffed him while he expressed distress, repeatedly saying, "Y’all just ran me over, bro." Hampton was taken to the hospital with injuries described as minor, though specifics remain unclear.
