Suspect Arrested In Mexico In Hialeah Murder; Armed Fugitive Still Sought
Ariely Alvarez Cabrera, 27, was arrested in Mexico and extradited to Florida in connection with the August 3 murder of 37-year-old Daylon Fleitas Gonzalez in Hialeah. The incident occurred after an altercation between Fleitas Gonzalez and Alfredo Carballo Gonzalez, Cabrera’s boyfriend, who remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Following the fight, Carballo Gonzalez placed Fleitas Gonzalez's body inside a recycling bin in the bed of his truck, which was later found by homicide detectives along with multiple pieces of evidence. Alvarez Cabrera was traveling with their 5-month-old baby at the time of her arrest, and the infant has since been safely returned to Florida. Authorities continue to seek information on Carballo Gonzalez's whereabouts, urging the public to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers. The investigation involved multiple agencies, including the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, Broward Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals, ICE, and Mexican law enforcement.
