Jimmy Barnes Plans 40th Anniversary National Tour for Working Class Man

Jimmy Barnes is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his landmark 1985 album, For The Working Class Man, with a national tour and a deluxe reissue of the album. The Working Class Man 40th Anniversary Tour will feature Barnes performing the entire album live, alongside hits from his solo career, with special guests including Icehouse, Ian Moss, and Kate Ceberano. The six-date outdoor tour begins on November 22 in Geelong and concludes on February 7 in Western Australia at Sandalford Wines. A remastered 40th anniversary edition of the album will be released on November 14 in multiple formats, including a limited-edition box set with new acoustic and spoken-word tracks. Barnes emphasized the album's significance in his career and the strong connections with his fellow artists, recalling the history with Icehouse and the impact the album had on his solo success. The tour and reissue highlight the ongoing appeal of the album, which spent seven weeks at number one in Australia and has sold over 500,000 copies.
