LVMH, UNESCO Renew Five-Year Global Biodiversity Partnership Expanding Marine and Terrestrial Conservation

LVMH has renewed and expanded its partnership with UNESCO for another five years under the initiative titled "For the Beauty of the Living," building on a collaboration that began in 2019 focused on biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. The partnership now encompasses broader UNESCO programs in education, science, and culture, emphasizing nature- and culture-based solutions like agroforestry and craftsmanship to support local communities globally. Tiffany & Co. and its foundation have joined the initiative to support marine and coastal ecosystem conservation through sustainable management plans, aligning with UNESCO's Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. The renewed agreement prioritizes supporting sustainable economic models tailored to local needs, measuring environmental and social impacts, and strengthening skills and knowledge via education and research. This collaboration seeks to scale up successful local biodiversity projects in regions including the Amazon, Africa, and marine areas, integrating scientific and local community data to promote nature-positive practices. LVMH highlights the critical relationship between its luxury products and natural resources, underscoring the importance of protecting biodiversity for the sustainability of its supply chain.
