Ottumwa Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Stabbing Incident
Two separate stabbing incidents have led to attempted murder arrests in Waianae, Hawaii, and Ottumwa, Iowa. In Waianae, a 63-year-old man was arrested after allegedly stabbing a 58-year-old man during an argument; the victim was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. In Ottumwa, 29-year-old Trinity Allen Shafer faces multiple charges including attempted murder after stabbing 20-year-old Marshaun Carlvin, whom he suspected of talking to his girlfriend. Carlvin sustained multiple stab wounds but was released from the hospital after treatment. Shafer was apprehended during a traffic stop the following day, where methamphetamine was also found in the vehicle, leading to additional drug-related charges and outstanding warrants. Shafer is being held without bond in Wapello County Jail, and a no-contact order has been issued between him and the victim.
