Malcolm Revival Set, Dewey Recast, Anniversary Focus

The Malcolm in the Middle revival will air as a four-episode special on Disney+, reuniting most of the original cast including Bryan Cranston, Frankie Muniz, Jane Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson, and Justin Berfield. Erik Per Sullivan, who played Dewey, will not return, as he is currently earning a master's degree at Harvard and is no longer interested in acting. Dewey will be recast with Caleb Ellsworth-Clark. Bryan Cranston played a pivotal role in bringing the project back after years of persuading series creator Linwood Boomer. The special will focus on Hal and Lois’s 40th wedding anniversary, bringing the Wilkerson family together nearly two decades after the series ended. Fans can expect an emotional and nostalgic reunion.
