Chelsea Manager Maresca Confirms Sterling, Disasi Excluded From First Team

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Raheem Sterling, Axel Disasi, and David Datro Fofana are training separately from the first-team squad, with no prospect of reintegration despite failing to secure transfers this summer. Sterling, who spent last season on loan at Arsenal with limited impact, and Disasi, who desired a return to Monaco, remain part of Chelsea's Premier League squad but train on different pitches at separate times and even use different facilities. Maresca emphasized that he has not seen the players since the season started and stated unequivocally that there is no chance for their return to the main squad. The trio, who collectively cost nearly £97 million, are effectively sidelined, with Sterling's high wages cited as a barrier to moves to other clubs. Meanwhile, Maresca is focusing on promoting academy players like Reggie Walsh, Shim Mheuka, and Ryan Kavuma-McQueen.
