Franklin Man Arrested for Multiple Attempted Murder Charges After Neighborhood Shooting

Haven Williams, an 18-year-old from Franklin, Louisiana, was arrested on July 31, 2025, following a police response to shots fired in a neighborhood on July 28. He faces multiple serious charges including attempted first-degree murder, three counts of attempted second-degree murder, theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated criminal damage to property, illegal use of weapons, and disturbing the peace. Williams was also taken into custody on prior outstanding warrants related to hit and run driving, reckless operation of a vehicle, driving without a license, stop sign violation, and failure to appear for a simple battery charge. He was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and is being held without bond. The Franklin Police Department has not released further details about the shooting incident. Another unrelated arrest was reported in Bryan, Texas, where Canton Alan Harris was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon during a traffic stop.
