Students Lead Fundraisers, Earn Regional Academic Honors Nationwide

Several schools across the United States have been recognizing outstanding students through various Student of the Week initiatives highlighting academic excellence, leadership, and community service. At Diggers Rest Primary School, students led a fundraiser making Snuggle Hearts to support premature babies and families at Joan Kirner Newborn Services, fostering a strong community connection. Southeast Warren Jr-Sr High and North Polk High celebrated Olivia Harrington and Stockton Huether for their academic achievements, leadership, and community impact, including autism awareness and youth board participation. In Arizona, students like Rocco Badgio, Ashlyn Cote, and Ava Stine made headlines for raising a record $50,000 during Make-A-Wish Arizona's Wish Week, while David Gutierrez Lopez was recognized for his exceptional academic performance in advanced math courses. Rhode Island’s Providence Journal highlighted nominees such as Oceanna Cummins, noted for academic excellence and community service, and John Gazzero for his teamwork and dedication to physical education.
