Bronx, Beaufort Men Indicted for Fatal Drug Distributions

Two men, Estherlyn Frias from the Bronx and Tyran Dixon from Aurora, have been indicted on federal narcotics charges related to fatal overdoses. Frias faces charges including distribution resulting in death after a Greenwich, Connecticut victim died from acute fentanyl and cocaine intoxication linked to drugs he sold; authorities found a large quantity of narcotics and drug trafficking equipment in his apartment. Dixon was indicted by a grand jury in Beaufort County, North Carolina, for felony death by distribution following the 2023 overdose death of Jaquan Cannon, 24. Dixon was arrested and held under a $250,000 bond, with local law enforcement emphasizing accountability for drug dealers. In a separate case, Aurora resident Francisco Javier Acevedo-Caldera was indicted for assaulting three law enforcement officers during an arrest attempt, facing multiple charges with significant prison time.
