The New Orleans Pelicans, receiving 11.5% of votes, and the Washington Wizards were also among the lowest-ranked teams, with the Pelicans making recent leadership changes after a 21-61 season. The Dallas Mavericks narrowly avoided being in the bottom five. Players' perceptions strongly tied franchise quality to on-court performance and organizational stability, with all top-rated teams making the playoffs this season.
