The Toronto Blue Jays are one win away from their first World Series title since 1993 after a 6-1 Game 5 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers that gave Toronto a 3-2 series lead. Rookie Trey Yesavage dominated, striking out 12 over seven innings while allowing three hits and one run. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-4 in Game 5 (0-for-7 with one walk over the last two games) as Los Angeles’s offense has produced just three runs over the past 18 innings. Dodger starter Blake Snell said the club had been unlucky as Los Angeles now faces elimination. Toronto native Drake posted taunting Instagram messages — including “ONE MORE!!!!!!” and a Story reading “Savage already otw to the dugout boss lol” — which went viral and drew both praise as the Jays’ “hype man” and criticism as trolling, as the series shifts back to Toronto for Game 6.
