Microsoft, LG Launch Xbox Cloud Gaming In Select Cars

Microsoft and LG have partnered to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to select internet-connected vehicles using LG's webOS Automotive Content Platform (ACP). This integration will allow passengers to stream and play Xbox games directly through the car's infotainment system, requiring an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, a compatible Bluetooth controller, and an automotive data plan. The feature targets passengers rather than drivers, providing entertainment during trips or while charging electric vehicles, with titles such as Gears of War: Reloaded, Forza Horizon 5, and upcoming games like The Outer Worlds 2 available. Currently, the service is launching on vehicles including Kia's EV3, EV5, EV6, and new Sportage models, with potential expansion to more cars in the future. This initiative extends Microsoft's strategy of expanding Xbox Cloud Gaming beyond traditional platforms like PCs, mobile devices, and TVs, enhancing gaming accessibility in new environments. Xbox's vice president of marketing Christopher Lee emphasized that adding vehicles to Xbox's ecosystem offers players greater flexibility in how they enjoy games.
