Tottenham Complete Mathys Tel Transfer from Bayern

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the permanent signing of French forward Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, with the 20-year-old agreeing to a contract running until 2031. The transfer fee was negotiated to approximately £29.8 million plus a prior loan fee, totaling around €45 million, down from the original €55 million option. Tel made 20 appearances and scored three goals last season, contributing to Spurs' Europa League victory, which marked their first major trophy in 17 years and secured Champions League qualification despite a poor league finish. The transfer was finalized under new head coach Thomas Frank, who replaced Ange Postecoglou and is expected to lead a squad rebuild. Tottenham are also targeting Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa as part of their transfer plans. Tel, currently playing for France at the Under-21 European Championships, had previously attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
