PointAI Raises ₹47 Crore Pre-Series A Led by Yali Capital to Boost AI Expansion
PointAI, formerly known as Try ND Buy, is a Noida-based deep-tech company specializing in AI and computer vision, that has raised ₹47 crore (about $5.3 million) in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Yali Capital, Lip-Bu Tan of Walden International, and Tremis Capital. The startup recently rebranded to reflect its proprietary parallel AI architecture, which is backed by more than 70 global patents and enables real-time, hyper-realistic e-commerce experiences such as virtual try-ons and virtual salespeople, with media rendering times of 1–2 seconds at up to 90% lower cost than traditional generative AI models. This funding will accelerate PointAI’s product innovation, technological capabilities, and expansion into both Indian and international markets. Their technology aims to optimize online shopping by reducing returns and personalizing experiences, positioning it strongly in the global e-commerce ecosystem with clients including Amazon SPN, Flipkart, Myntra, and Rakuten Japan. Notable investors also include Vijay Shekhar Sharma, founder of Paytm, highlighting confidence in PointAI’s scientific rigor and real-world application. The company competes with other AI analytics firms by focusing on commerce return optimization and pricing for large merchants and marketplaces facing complex product assortments and high-volume returns.
