Steelers Complete 17-Player Practice Squad for 2025 Season

The Pittsburgh Steelers have completed their 2025 practice squad by signing rookie offensive lineman Aiden Williams, who was re-signed after clearing waivers following final roster cuts. Williams, a 6'5", 315-pound guard from Minnesota Duluth, joins 16 other players, including preseason standout running back Lew Nichols and veteran wide receiver Robert Woods, who all spent the summer with the team. Nichols impressed during the preseason with strong rushing and receiving performances and was quickly re-signed after clearing waivers. The practice squad now includes a mix of young talent and experienced players, with the Steelers carrying 12 offensive linemen across the active roster and practice squad combined. Head coach Mike Tomlin expressed optimism about the continuity and development potential of the practice squad group, which mostly consists of players who were part of the training camp roster.
