SUV Hits Protester at Riverside 'No Kings' Rally
A woman was seriously injured when a dark SUV drove through a crowd of protesters during a 'No Kings' Day demonstration in Riverside, California, at around 9:10 p.m. on University Avenue between Main and Orange streets. Video footage shows the SUV accelerating through the group after being surrounded by protesters. The injured woman remains hospitalized in stable condition, and no other injuries have been reported. Police are investigating the incident as an assault with a deadly weapon and are searching for the driver, with the motive still undetermined. The Riverside protest was part of broader, mostly peaceful demonstrations across the Inland Empire against the Trump administration's policies, coinciding with the U.S. Army's 250th birthday and President Trump's 79th birthday. As of Sunday, no arrests have been made.
