Carnival Unveils Carnival Rewards Loyalty Program
Carnival Cruise Line has announced Carnival Rewards™, a new loyalty program launching in June 2026 to replace the Very Important Fun Person (VIFP) program. The updated system introduces a dual-earning structure, where guests accumulate points and status-qualifying stars based on spending, not just nights sailed. Four status tiers—Red, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond—will offer exclusive benefits, and the entry-level Blue tier will be eliminated. The program is closely integrated with the Carnival Rewards Mastercard, providing cardholders more ways to earn. The changes aim to address overcrowding in upper VIFP tiers and enhance earning potential, but some loyal guests are disappointed that Carnival will not unify loyalty benefits across its brands. Despite mixed reactions, Carnival expects the new program to make rewards more accessible and meaningful for more cruisers.
