Xiaomi YU7 SUV Launch Accelerated, Deliveries July

Xiaomi has advanced the launch of its YU7 electric SUV to late June 2025 in China, responding to strong consumer demand and high presale interest. The YU7, which shares the Modena platform and advanced digital systems with the SU7 sedan, is positioned as a direct competitor to the Tesla Model Y and will be priced aggressively below the Model Y. CEO Lei Jun announced the launch alongside other Xiaomi products, including the Pad 7S Pro tablet featuring the proprietary Xring O1 chip, as part of Xiaomi's strategy to integrate smart devices and vehicles. The YU7 offers single- and dual-motor options, a luxury cockpit with panoramic displays, enhanced safety features, and robust autonomous driving technology powered by Nvidia and LiDAR. Mass production of the YU7 is already underway, with thousands of units in production and deliveries expected to begin in July. This launch reinforces Xiaomi's growing presence in China's EV and smart device markets.
