Clown in a Cornfield Drive-In Screenings Set for May
'Clown in a Cornfield,' a horror-comedy slasher film directed by Eli Craig and co-written with Carter Blanchard, will have exclusive drive-in screenings across the U.S. on May 2-3, ahead of its nationwide theatrical release on May 9, 2025. The movie is based on Adam Cesare’s Bram Stoker Award-winning novel and follows teenager Quinn and her father as they move to Kettle Springs, where a killer clown named Frendo terrorizes the community. Select drive-in attendees at chains like West Wind, Four Brothers, and Galaxy will receive a limited edition poster while supplies last. Produced by the team behind 'Smile,' the film premiered at SXSW to strong critical acclaim and holds a 93% 'fresh' rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have praised its clever genre subversions and appeal to teen audiences. The film is rated R for violence, language, and teen drinking.
