IShowSpeed recently challenged competitive eating legend Joey Chestnut in a hot dog eating contest as part of his YouTube series "Speed Goes Pro." Despite earning a two-minute head start after completing mini challenges involving pizza, chicken wings, and hard-boiled eggs, Speed was overwhelmed by Chestnut's prowess, managing only five hot dogs in three minutes compared to Chestnut's 11 in one minute. The competition also included a pumpkin pie eating challenge, where Speed, trained by pro eater Miki Sudo, struggled and nearly vomited due to discomfort, though he completed the portion on time. Chestnut offered encouragement throughout, sharing his extensive experience and advising Speed to find his "happy place" and keep swallowing.
