Six Maryland Women Arrested in Norwood Break-In

Six related women from Maryland were arrested in Norwood, Massachusetts after breaking into a Neponset Street residence, where they were confronted by occupants before fleeing in a car and then on foot through woods and across a river. All six were apprehended with assistance from local police and Homeland Security Investigations. During booking, police found that two suspects had obscured fingerprints, complicating identification. The women—Mirabela Caldararu, Jajela Chiciu, Flavia Caldararu, Emilia Sardaru, Mihaela Ion, and Elizabeth Sardaru—face multiple charges, including breaking and entering, conspiracy, and resisting arrest. Three women were released on bail but immediately detained by ICE, as were two men who tried to post their bail, while the other three women remain in custody. Authorities noted that several suspects had active warrants from other states, highlighting the multi-state nature of the alleged criminal enterprise.
