Australian-Thai Teen Fatally Stabbed in Thailand

A 14-year-old Australian-Thai boy was fatally stabbed in the back by a classmate outside Muntra Garden Home in Chonburi, Thailand, while walking home on December 10. CCTV footage captured the two engaging in a physical scuffle before the alleged attacker stabbed the victim, who later collapsed in front of a nearby store and died before emergency services could arrive. The victim's mother stated he had previously reported threats from an older student at school. The alleged assailant, also 14, fled the scene but was apprehended by police shortly thereafter, where he reportedly confessed to the attack, claiming he did not realize the wound would be fatal. Authorities are considering charges of murder against the suspect, and the victim's body has been sent for an autopsy.
