McGregor, Maeda, Kuhn, Murray nominated for PFA Scotland Player of the Year

Celtic captain Callum McGregor has been nominated for the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award, joining teammates Daizen Maeda and Nicolas Kuhn, with Dundee’s Simon Murray as the only non-Celtic nominee. Maeda and Murray lead the Premiership with 16 goals each, while Maeda also tops the assists chart and has scored 33 goals in all competitions. Kuhn has contributed 20 goals across competitions, and Murray has netted 22 despite Dundee's lower league position. The Young Player of the Year nominees are Arne Engels (Celtic), Hamza Igamane (Rangers), James Wilson (Hearts), and Lennon Miller (Motherwell), with Wilson and Miller earning recent Scotland call-ups. McGregor, who previously won the top prize in 2022, revealed he cast his vote for Murray, highlighting his impressive season. The winners will be announced at a dinner in Glasgow on May 4.
