Neeraj Chopra Competes in Star-Studded Paris Diamond League Javelin

Neeraj Chopra is set to compete in the 2025 Paris Diamond League on June 20, aiming for his first major title of the season after finishing as runner-up in back-to-back meets. Chopra recently breached the 90-meter mark with a throw of 90.23m in Doha but was edged out by Julian Weber, who threw 91.06m. The Paris event features a highly competitive field with five athletes, including Chopra, Weber, and two-time world champion Anderson Peters, who have all surpassed 90 meters. Chopra last competed in Paris in 2017 as a junior world champion and skipped last year's event to focus on the Olympics, where he won silver. After Paris, Chopra will compete at the Golden Spike meet in Ostrava and then host the inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic in Bengaluru. The competition is highlighted by the rivalry between Chopra and Weber, with Peters also a strong contender, and the event is regarded as one of the few meetings boasting five javelin throwers over 90 meters.
