Samsung Rolls Out One UI 7 Update Globally

Samsung has accelerated the rollout of its long-delayed One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, to a broad range of Galaxy devices, starting in South Korea and with plans for global expansion. Eligible devices include the Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and the S22 and S23 FE models. While some older models such as the Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 will not receive all the latest Galaxy AI features, the update brings significant security and privacy enhancements, including the April 2025 security patch. The update package is sizable, around 4-5GB, and users are encouraged to update all related apps and background services for optimal performance and security. Privacy concerns have been noted regarding Google’s SafetyCore app, which scans images for nudity in Google Messages but can be disabled. Samsung aims to complete the update rollout for all eligible devices by the end of June 2025.
