Korean Spy Thriller Tempest Premieres Hulu, Disney+ September 10

Hulu and Disney+ are set to premiere "Tempest," a highly anticipated Korean spy thriller series, on September 10, launching with three episodes. The series follows Seo Munju, a former diplomat portrayed by Gianna Jun, who investigates an assassination attempt on her husband, a presidential candidate accused of being a North Korean spy, uncovering a complex multinational conspiracy that reaches the White House. Alongside Munju is Paik Sanho, a mysterious mercenary played by Gang Dongwon, tasked with protecting her amid escalating dangers. The show also features John Cho as the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, adding an international political dimension to the unfolding crisis. Directed by Kim Heewon and co-directed by martial arts expert Heo Myeonghaeng, with a script by Chung Seokyung, "Tempest" blends intense action with political intrigue in a cinematic production. The series promises to deliver a gripping narrative about espionage, deception, and global stakes, marking a major new global project for Disney and Hulu.
