Israel Conducts Extensive Airstrikes on Tehran, Targets Over 150 Iranian Sites
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to intensify airstrikes against Iran, declaring that Israeli Air Force jets will soon be flying over Tehran to target every site associated with the Iranian regime, particularly its nuclear and ballistic missile programs. Israel’s recent attacks have targeted critical nuclear facilities, including the Natanz Uranium Enrichment Facility and the Uranium Conversion Facility near Isfahan, as well as eliminating key nuclear scientists, actions Netanyahu says have set back Iran’s nuclear ambitions significantly. In response to these strikes, Iran has launched hundreds of missiles and drones at Israeli cities such as Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, escalating the conflict with casualties reported on both sides. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that continued Iranian missile attacks on Israeli population centers would provoke further destruction in Tehran. Despite international calls for de-escalation, including from UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer who urged for a ceasefire and diplomatic resolution, the conflict remains volatile with Israel emphasizing its goal to dismantle Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities to prevent existential threats. Netanyahu also highlighted that Israel has the support of US President Donald Trump in its operations against Iran.
