Alyla Browne to Lead Australian Psychological Horror Film 'From Below'

The Australian psychological horror film "From Below," written and directed by Sean Loch in his feature debut, stars rising actress Alyla Browne, known for her role as young Furiosa in "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga." The film, set in the Australian Outback, follows 15-year-old Riley, who faces a life-or-death struggle against a terrifying invisible creature after her father is dragged away. Production is slated to begin in Queensland, Australia, in 2026, with financing from Screen Queensland's Screen Finance and Development funds. Cornerstone has secured worldwide sales rights and will launch the film at the American Film Market. The screenplay, featured on the Black List and praised for blending survival thriller, creature feature, and Outback horror genres, was developed with input from filmmaker Joel Anderson. Producers include Sam Price for Pathline Pictures, with Natalie Coleman, Alison Thompson, and Mark Gooder executive producing, highlighting the film's originality and tense storytelling.
