Telegram CEO Pavel Durov unveiled Cocoon, a decentralized AI compute network built on The Open Network (TON) blockchain, designed to connect GPU owners with developers seeking private and low-cost AI computing power. Cocoon operates as a marketplace where GPU owners earn Toncoin (TON) tokens by contributing computing resources, while developers pay with TON tokens to run AI tasks, all while maintaining user data privacy through encryption. Telegram will be the first major user, integrating Cocoon into its mini-app and bot ecosystem, leveraging its billion-strong user base to scale the network rapidly.
