Nvidia Partners Korean Giants in $3B AI Factory and Infrastructure Buildout

NVIDIA is partnering with South Korean conglomerates Hyundai Motor Group, SK Group, and Samsung Electronics to build advanced AI factories and bolster the country's AI infrastructure, investing billions and deploying over 250,000 GPUs. Hyundai plans to invest $3 billion to develop AI capabilities for autonomous driving, smart factories, and robotics, leveraging NVIDIA's platforms like Omniverse and DRIVE AGX Thor. SK Group is constructing an AI factory powered by 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs to support semiconductor R&D, digital twins, and intelligent AI agents, with its infrastructure also benefiting affiliates like SK Hynix and SK Telecom. Samsung is integrating more than 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs into its operations to transform manufacturing workflows, focusing on semiconductor chip design, production, quality control, and robotics using NVIDIA’s CUDA-X and cuLitho software. These collaborations aim to establish South Korea as a global leader in AI-driven manufacturing and technology innovation, supported by government initiatives to develop sovereign AI and physical AI clusters. Together, these partnerships represent a transformative effort to enhance South Korea's technological competitiveness in AI, industrial automation, and semiconductor manufacturing.
