Noah Weiland, son of the late Scott Weiland, has released a cover of Velvet Revolver's 2004 hit "Slither" to honor his father on Father's Day, accompanied by a surreal AI-generated video created entirely on his iPhone. The video features vivid, dream-like scenes including appearances by AI versions of Guns N' Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan, as well as Weiland's father, himself, and Spider-Man, reflecting a 'gnarly fever dream' that symbolizes his personal struggles and memories. Noah, who has also covered his father's Stone Temple Pilots song "Sex Type Thing" earlier this year, emphasizes his desire to create music on his own terms rather than solely relying on his father's legacy. He is currently working on an upcoming EP titled "Crashout Junkie," which will showcase a heavier rock, grunge, and punk sound. Noah's recent covers and original work underscore his effort to balance honoring his father's influence while forging his own musical identity.
