Spanish Prosecutors Seek 2.5-Year Prison Sentence for Real Madrid's Raul Asencio Over Minor Sex Tape

Spanish prosecutors are seeking a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence for Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio for allegedly sharing a sexually explicit video involving an underage girl, recorded without the victims' consent during a sexual encounter in June 2023. While Asencio did not participate in the sexual acts, he reportedly requested the video and showed it to a friend before deleting it, leading to charges of disclosure of secrets and child pornography. The footage was recorded by three former Real Madrid youth players who had consensual sex with one minor and one adult woman, and prosecutors are also seeking longer sentences for those players. The victims reportedly suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the incident, and prosecutors are demanding compensation for them. Asencio’s lawyer has requested a harsher sentence, seeking to hold him equally responsible as the other players.
