Netflix Begins Production on One Hundred Years of Solitude Part 2

Netflix has officially begun production on the second installment of its adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez’s 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' in Colombia, following the success of the first part released in December 2024. The series, which has significantly impacted Colombia's economy, is directed by Laura Mora alongside Carlos Moreno, with both directors noted for their acclaimed works. Returning cast members include Marleyda Soto and Claudio Cataño, reprising their roles as Úrsula Iguarán and Colonel Aureliano Buendía, respectively. New cast additions have also been announced, further expanding the narrative of Macondo. Francisco Ramos, Netflix's Vice President of Content for Latin America, expressed pride in the project and emphasized the tribute it pays to García Márquez and Colombian talent.
