NC State to Make Debut in 2025 Maui Invitational

The 2025 Maui Invitational men's college basketball tournament will be held November 24-26 at the Lahaina Civic Center in Hawaii and features eight teams: NC State, Seton Hall, Texas, USC, Boise State, Arizona State, Washington State, and Division II Chaminade. NC State is making its first appearance in the tournament and will open against Seton Hall, whose roster includes former Wolfpack guard Trey Parker. Among the Division I participants, only Texas reached the NCAA tournament last season, though several teams, including NC State under new coach Will Wade, are anticipated to be stronger in 2025-26 following significant roster changes. The bracket places NC State and Seton Hall in the same half as USC and Boise State, while Arizona State, Chaminade, Texas, and Washington State are in the other half. The Maui Invitational remains a prominent early-season event but now faces competition from newer tournaments like the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas. Ticket packages for the tournament will be available starting August 21.
