Multiple Hikers Rescued from Mount Bierstadt, Washington, Beehive Basin, Makapuu Trails

Multiple hikers have been rescued recently from various mountain trails across the United States due to injuries or illness. In Colorado, an injured hiker with a lower leg injury was safely airlifted from Mount Bierstadt by the Alpine Rescue Team and Flight for Life. In New Hampshire, a 76-year-old woman was rescued after nearly four hours of descent from Mount Washington in harsh weather conditions, emphasizing the need for cold-weather gear during fall hikes. Montana's Gallatin County Search and Rescue safely transported a hiker who slipped and injured their leg on the Beehive Basin Trail and advised hikers to carry emergency communication devices. Additionally, in Hawaii, the Honolulu Fire Department airlifted a male hiker in his 30s who became ill near the tidepools on the Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail, providing medical support on site before evacuation.
