Talanoa Ili, Hawaii's Top LB, Commits to USC

Talanoa Ili, a four-star linebacker ranked No. 54 nationally and the top prospect from Hawaii, has committed to USC for the 2026 class, strengthening the Trojans' top-ranked recruiting group. Ili played three years at Orange Lutheran in California before transferring to Kahuku High School in Hawaii for his senior season. Known for his versatility and physicality, Ili can play all linebacker positions in any scheme and aims to represent his Polynesian heritage. His decision was influenced by USC’s recruiting push, new linebackers coach Rob Ryan’s NFL background, and a strong connection formed during his campus visit, leading him to cancel visits to other programs. USC’s 2026 class now has 29 commitments, including several top-100 recruits, with linebacker being a key area of focus after missing on 2025 targets.
