WWE's Cody Rhodes Debuts In Naked Gun Reboot Trailer

WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes is making his major film debut with a cameo role in the upcoming 2025 reboot of The Naked Gun, set to hit theaters on August 1. In the new trailer, Rhodes appears briefly as a bartender who is confronted and physically slammed by Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., played by Liam Neeson, showcasing a comically altered facial appearance. Though his role is small, this marks a significant step for Rhodes into mainstream Hollywood, following his previous voice roles in animated WWE-related films and his acting work on television. The Naked Gun reboot, directed by Akiva Schaffer, serves as both a sequel and reboot with Neeson playing the son of the original film's protagonist. Rhodes continues to pursue his wrestling career, participating in the 2025 King of the Ring tournament with hopes of a championship rematch at SummerSlam. His move into film joins other WWE stars like Roman Reigns and Jade Cargill who are also venturing into Hollywood projects.
