Delta Pilot, Ex-Girlfriend Charged Child Sex Abuse Case

Delta Air Lines pilot Rustom Bhagwagar and his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Powell have been arrested and charged with multiple felony counts related to the sexual abuse of Powell's daughter over a five-year period. Bhagwagar was arrested on his plane shortly after landing in San Francisco, facing 24 felony charges including sexual acts with a child 10 years or younger, oral copulation, forcible lewd acts, and aggravated sexual assault. Powell, who is the victim's mother, is accused of knowing about the abuse, participating in the crimes, and allowing the abuse to continue from when the child was six until she was eleven. Both remain in custody with Bhagwagar held on a $15 million bond, and they each face up to 15 years to life in prison if convicted. Authorities emphasize the severity of the case and continue to investigate, urging anyone with information to come forward. Delta Airlines has suspended Bhagwagar pending the outcome of the investigation and expressed zero tolerance for unlawful conduct.
