Brandon Wilson Arrested in Fenway Assault

Boston police arrested 27-year-old Brandon Wilson of Quincy on Oct. 28 in connection with a Sept. 28 assault on Lansdowne Street that left 22-year-old Jack Farrell with a brain bleed. Farrell’s family says doctors removed a portion of his skull to relieve pressure, and he is facing months of recovery at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital; some reports characterized the injuries as non-life-threatening but serious. Wilson is charged with aggravated assault; he pleaded not guilty at his Roxbury District Court arraignment and was released on personal recognizance. Police say video and witness accounts show the suspect allegedly “sucker-punched” Farrell and fled toward Brookline Avenue. Authorities continue to investigate the Lansdowne attack as the victim recovers.
