Woman Dies, Multiple Injured in Coventry Car Crashes

Several serious road incidents occurred recently in Coventry. On July 19, a woman was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Radford Road and was taken to University Hospital Coventry; her injuries were not life-threatening. On July 17, a collision between a Jaguar and a VW van at the junction of Lentons Lane and Shilton Lane led to the Jaguar crashing into a house, resulting in four injuries including a seriously injured woman who was hospitalized, while other injured parties sustained minor injuries. Tragically, a 78-year-old woman who was inside that house later died from her injuries. Police are continuing investigations and appealing for witnesses and any dashcam or CCTV footage related to the incidents. Separately, a woman involved in a crash on the M6 northbound near junctions 9 and 10 was hospitalized with non-serious injuries after two lanes were closed for about an hour.
