Baltimore Ravens Re-Sign Veteran DL Brent Urban

The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed veteran defensive lineman Brent Urban, a 34-year-old former fourth-round pick from the University of Virginia, continuing his fourth consecutive one-year stint with the team. Urban appeared in 13 games last season, recording 20 tackles and two pass defenses, and has played 122 NFL games in his career with stints at the Titans, Bears, and Cowboys before rejoining Baltimore in 2022. Known as an organizational favorite, Urban's familiarity with head coach John Harbaugh and the coaching staff makes him a natural fit for the 2025 Ravens roster, where he is expected to compete for a depth role behind starters like Nnamdi Madubuike, Travis Jones, and Broderick Washington. Urban has accumulated 170 defensive tackles, 10 sacks, and 16 pass knockdowns over his career and has earned more than $12 million playing in the NFL. The Ravens also bolstered their defensive line depth by adding John Jenkins and rookie Aeneas Peebles. While Urban may not be a starter, his experience and versatility provide valuable depth for Baltimore's defensive front in the upcoming season.
