Krivonogikh expressed that it was 'liberating' to show her face again after years of hiding her identity and distancing herself from her previous life of luxury. She was born in 2003 to Svetlana Krivonogikh, a former cleaner who gained significant wealth after Elizaveta's birth, and has never publicly denied claims about her paternity first reported in 2020. Formerly active on social media, she withdrew from public view after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but now works at Parisian galleries known for anti-war exhibitions.
