Expedia Raises 2025 Forecast Amid Strong International Gains
Expedia Group reported strong second-quarter 2025 results, exceeding Wall Street expectations with $3.8 billion in revenue (a 6% year-over-year increase) and a 21% rise in adjusted profit to $4.24 per share. The company's performance was driven by 17% growth in B2B gross bookings, a 19% increase in advertising revenue, and a 13% rise in international revenue, which helped offset continued softness in the U.S. travel market. Following these results, Expedia raised its full-year 2025 revenue and gross bookings growth guidance to 3%-5%, up from the previous 2%-4% range. Shares climbed over 14% in after-hours trading, reflecting strong investor confidence. The company also noted an ongoing recovery in U.S. travel demand. Expedia's positive outlook stands in contrast to more cautious forecasts issued by competitors Marriott and Airbnb.
