Disney has officially greenlit and begun filming Camp Rock 3, reuniting the Jonas Brothers — Joe, Nick, and Kevin — in their original roles as the Gray brothers and Demi Lovato as an executive producer, although Lovato will not reprise her character Mitchie. The new film centers on the band Connect 3 losing their opening act for a major reunion tour and returning to Camp Rock to discover the next big music act, featuring an all-new cast of young actors alongside returning characters like Maria Canals-Barrera reprising her role as Mitchie's mother. Production is underway in Vancouver, with the project directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye, supported by choreography from Jamal Sims.
