Babar Azam to Play Full BBL Season for Sixers

Pakistan's star batter and former captain Babar Azam has signed with the Sydney Sixers as their marquee international pre-draft pick for Big Bash League (BBL) Season 15, in one of the competition's most significant acquisitions. Babar, who has scored over 10,000 international runs and earned honors such as ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year (2021, 2022) and ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year (2022), is expected to bring world-class talent and leadership to the Sixers. His signing follows the Pakistan Cricket Board's decision to grant No Objection Certificates to key players after he and others were reportedly sidelined from national T20I plans.
