Gaza Reports Over 60,000 Civilian Deaths, Majority Women Children Elderly

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has escalated dramatically, with over 60,000 people killed since October 2023, more than half of whom are children, women, and elderly civilians, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Malnutrition has reached catastrophic levels, particularly among children under five, with thousands suffering from severe acute malnutrition amid collapsing nutrition services and scarce food supplies. Women and girls face extreme starvation and violence, resorting to desperate measures such as boiling discarded food scraps, while many pregnant women endure premature births and severe health complications due to lack of food, medicine, and medical infrastructure.
