Eisenberg Won't Return; Social Reckoning Set for 2026
Jesse Eisenberg confirmed he will not reprise Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Reckoning, telling NBC's Today that he has “grown into something else” and praising the film. Aaron Sorkin wrote and is directing the sequel for Sony, which casts Jeremy Strong as Zuckerberg and also features Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White and Bill Burr. The story is set 17 years after The Social Network and follows Frances Haugen and Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz. The film is scheduled for release on October 13, 2026. Jeremy Strong has said he has not consulted Eisenberg and praised Sorkin's script.
