Multiple Roundabouts Under Construction Across Midwest and East

Several roundabout construction projects across the United States are progressing to improve traffic flow and safety. In Ann Arbor, Michigan, the Earhart and Geddes roundabout will be closed temporarily for resurfacing work, alongside multiple other road closures in Washtenaw County. In Bend, Oregon, the Bear Creek Road, Pettigrew Road, and Purcell Boulevard roundabout construction is ahead of schedule, with completion expected this construction season; this project also includes improved pedestrian and bicycle connections and water and sewer system upgrades. Wisconsin plans to install a roundabout at the Culver’s intersection at highways 42/57 and County Road BB/Gordon Road to reduce crashes, with construction slated to begin in spring 2028, including a temporary bypass lane to maintain traffic flow. Montgomery County, Tennessee, is nearing completion of the Rollow Lane and Dunlop Lane roundabout, expected to open by late August, following resolution of utility and flooding issues. Collectively, these projects reflect widespread efforts to enhance road safety and traffic efficiency through roundabout installations and associated infrastructure improvements.
