DreamWorks Animation Announces 'Forgotten Island' Release for September 2026

Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation have announced that their new animated feature, Forgotten Island, will be released on September 25, 2026. Directed and written by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, the film is described as a broad party comedy adventure set on a magical island inspired by Philippine mythology. This project marks Mercado's directorial debut and continues Crawford's collaboration with producer Mark Swift, following their success with Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, which received multiple award nominations.
